Addie is from the U.S. and is the proud mother of two young children. Addie has not always been a birth photographer. In fact, the births of her two children are what inspired her to put her teaching career on hold and turn her photography hobby into a working passion.
Addie was fortunate to have positive birthing experiences for both of her babies in Kuwait. After the birth of her son she felt a sense of empowerment and strength she had never known before. Birthing naturally was by far the hardest thing she had ever gone through, yet it also became one of the most rewarding experiences of her life. The entire birthing journey became a transformative experience for her. Addie realized birthing is more than just having a baby, it’s also a journey into motherhood.
“Birth is a rite of passage of women. Their journey should be honored, their rights should be fiercely protected, and their stories should be shared.”- Marcie Macari
Addie is grateful and humbled to have the support of her husband and peers as she aims to support and empower women in their birthing journey. If you feel that birth photography is for you, or even if you are unsure and would like to learn more about it, you are encouraged to reach out to her. Addie would love to meet with you to share her whole story and discuss your vision for Savoring the Moments of your own birth journey.
